Municipal Reporter Field Software User Guide 11 Depending on the screen you were viewing when you recorded the issue, the Home screen or the Map screen appears. Filling out the issue form An issue report form always opens showing the first page. To close the form without saving any changes you have made, tap Cancel. If you are in the data entry screen for a field, click Cancel to return to the summary page and then click Cancel. You may need to tap Back to return to the first page of the form and then tap Cancel. Tap an empty field on the form to fill out the information for that field. After a few seconds, the photo is shown on the screen of the handheld. Tap Accept. If you are need to retake the photo, you must retap the Photo field and repeat the steps above. Sketch or Signature Use the stylus to draw a sketch or write a signature on the screen and then tap Accept. Municipal Reporter Field Software User Guide 13 Reporting an issue when you have no GPS position If the Record Issue button on the Home screen shows No GPS Signal!or Waiting (GPS), then do one of the following: · If you are able to, move to a more open space, away from tall buildings and other objects such as parked cars and then report the issue. If the last issue you recorded was at the same location, tap Waiting (GPS) and then tap Use last GPS position. The default issue type is shown in the status line above the button bar. Clearing data from the handheld Over time, issue reports and tracking messages will build up on the handheld, and the memory available on the handheld may start to run low. C CAUTION ­ Once you delete old issue reports and tasks you won't see them on the map and in the View Data screen. To remove old data from the handheld: 1. In the Task Manager screen, tap the Options button and then select Delete. A message asks you to select the data you want to delete.
