The AgGPS lightbar follows this line, providing guidance in parallel lines at swath-width intervals. To define an A-B line: ® Parallel Swathing System User Guide PAUSE GUIDANCE To temporarily pause guidance (to refill chemical tanks, refuel, etc. ): Step 1 While in mid-swath, press: Parallel Swathing System User Guide SWATH GUIDANCE MODES SNAP-TO-SWATH MODE Snap-to-swath mode is the default mode for the EZ-Guide system. [. . . ] · ORANGE ­ approaching the spray zone by pressing boundary (either direction). Tip: If visibility is low, select NEW A-B and set your swath direction on a parallel access road. Then use the NEW A+ pattern to set the A point for the first swath in the field. When the lightbar displays the desired option, press 5 CALCULATE ACREAGE Calculate Area To calculate the area of your field drive to each corner of the field and press: View Area To view field area, at any time, press: Clear Area To clear all area points in preparation for a new field, at any time, press: GUIDANCE WITH HEADLANDS Adding area points around the outside of a field also creates a headland boundary at the edge of the inner boom. When approaching the end of a swath, the EZGuide system will use this headland boundary instead of the end-zone defined by the A and B points to indicate when you are approaching the end of the swath. For regular guidance, the large central LED shows green, orange, or red depending on where you are in the spray zone. Area 6 AREA 2 Area point Calculated acreage Red + 5 2 + 6 Red to choose that pattern. A new area value is displayed each time the key is pressed. Tip: Spray a headland around your field and set area points to calculate area at the same time. Acreage calculations take the current swath width into account, so you should drive a half-swath in from the field edge. Area points may be added in both Guidance mode and Area mode.
