To update this page and to show the current attached devices, click the Refresh button. 4. 7. 3 Address Reservation Choose menu “DHCP→Address Reservation”, and then you can view and add a reserved address for clients via the next screen (shown in Figure 4-29). When you specify a reserved IP address for a PC on the LAN, that PC will always receive the same IP address each time when it accesses the DHCP server. Click any of them, and you will be able to configure the corresponding function. 4. 8. 1 Storage Sharing Choose menu “USB Settings→Storage Sharing”, and then you can configure a USB disk drive attached to the router on this page as shown in Figure 4-32. You can click the Start button to start the Storage Sharing service and click the Stop button to stop it. When the volume is shared, you can click the Disable to stop sharing the volume; when volume is non-shared, you can click the Enable button to share the volume. Click the Eject Disk button to safely remove the USB storage device that is connected to USB port. A message (as shown in Figure 4-33) will appear on your web browser when it is safe to detach the USB disk. Figure 4-33 Safe Unplug Message Click the Rescan button to start a new scan. Follow the instructions below to set up your router as a file server: 1. Plug an external USB hard disk drive or USB flash drive into this router. Click the Rescan button to find the USB drive that has been attached to the router. The screen will appear as shown in Figure 4-34. It is not recommended to simply pull the USB drive out of the USB port, because this can cause damage to the device and cause data loss. 4. Mounted volumes are subject to the 8-volume limit, so you cannot access more than 8 volumes on the USB storage device. 4. 8. 2 FTP Server Choose menu “USB Settings→FTP Server”, and then you can configure FTP Server on this page as shown in Figure 4-35.
