[. . . ] If needed, correct the time by plus/minus one unit. Correction of date and month Select the function "Seconds - Date". Second time zone The watch is capable of displaying not only the local time but also the time in a second time zone. To do this : Select the function "Time in a second time zone" (T2). The numerals displaying the time and minutes for the second time zone start to flash. Pull out the crown. The seconds disappear and the numeral for the month appears alongside the date. Turn the crown backwards or forwards : a rapid rotation changes the month, a rapid rotation turn changes the date. Note : Even if the month is not displayed while the watch is being used in normal mode, it is still necessary for it to be set correctly, otherwise the perpetual calendar will not function up to 2099 (only gentleman's model). To change these settings : Turn the crown backwards or forwards : Press the crown back down. The time zone display is corrected in multiples of 1/2 hours (only gentleman's model). Since the watch can operate in either 2 times 12 hour (AM-PM) mode, or in 24 hour mode, you must bear this in mind when reading the time shown for a second time zone. w w w. ch 3/4 123_EN / 08. 06 Multifunction Watches * Changing the time zone Whenever you change time zone or whenever daylight saving changes occur between winter and summer (and vice versa), you are able to advance or retract the time shown by the hands by anywhere between one and several hours without losing the display showing for minutes and seconds. The numerals for hours and minutes flash and the symbol T appears in the upper section of the dial (only gentleman's model). Using the alarm Select the "Alarm" (AL) function. Pull out the crown. Display the desired time by turning the crown forwards or backwards (a rapid rotation changes the hours, a slow rotation changes the minutes). Press the crown back down. The alarm is then set, with AL showing on the display. Turn the crown backwards or forwards quickly. The hands advance or retract the time by one complete hour, and the digital time display changes to match this new setting. Note : Do not turn the crown in small increments after turning it quickly in order to change the time zone setting. To the alarm, (de-)activate press the crown after first selecting the "Alarm" (AL) function. AL display = alarm set (armed) OF display = alarm not set (disarmed) Press the crown down to stop the alarm. NB : Since the watch can operate in either 2 times 12 hour (AM-PM) mode, or in 24 hour mode, you must bear this in mind when reading the time shown for a second time zone. Test of alarm Press the crown and hold down for more than 2 seconds after first selecting the "Alarm" (AL) function. The alarm will start to ring at this point. Chronograph Select the "Chronograph" (CHR) function. [. . . ] If you envisage not wearing your watch for several weeks or months, we would advise you to put it to one side with the crown pulled out into position II. This cuts the electrical power supply to the motor, thereby extending battery life considerably. Replacing the battery Once the battery has run flat, it must be replaced without delay by an approved TISSOT ® representative or retailer. [. . . ]
