When you misspell a word or type one that is not found in the dictionary, a twotoned beep is heard, and the Shift Lock light flashes. The corrected word will also be checked. To turn it back on: Code D WordFind ® When you type very fast, you may type a few words after you hear the beep signal an incorrect word. You can use WordFind to locate an error made within Correction Memory. When you press Code + Find (F) and there are no more errors, the print hammer automatically returns to your previous typing position. NOTE: Changing pitch in the middle of a line or using the Half Space feature deletes Correction Memory. After a pitch change or the use of a half space, the Find feature will not operate on text entered prior to the pitch change or use of a half space. Index Up/ Index Down Up Code ¢ 6 Down & Code 7 This feature moves the paper up or down in increments equal to the current line space setting. This feature is useful to maintain accurate line spacing when correcting errors on different lines. Also, it is necessary to use this feature instead of the platen knob when End of Page Warning is activated so the unit can keep track of lines. If they are held down, the paper will continue to move up or down. Auto Return You can program your typewriter to automatically return at the end of each line. When a space or hyphen is typed in the "warning zone, " which begins five spaces before the right margin, the carrier automatically returns to the next line.
