GB­10 BASIC SETUP Using the Remote Control · Point the remote control at the IR sensor located on the unit. · When there is a strong ambient light source, the performance of the infrared IR sensor may be degraded, causing unreliable operation. · The recommended effective distance for remote operation is about 16 feet (5 meters). Take out the PVC sheet before operating the remote control. To Change Remote Control Battery 1. Insert one CR2025 (3V) size battery with correct polarity marked on the battery door. CR2025 OP EN Battery Placement When battery become weak, the operating distance of the remote control is greatly reduced and you will need to replace the battery. NOTES : · If the remote control is not to be used for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by battery leakage corrosion. · WARNING : Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak. Usage of Adapter 1. Connect the AC/DC adapter to the DC IN jack at the side of the DVD player. Plug the AC/DC adapter into a household power outlet. GB­11 BASIC SETUP Install / Detach the Battery Pack 1. Press the RELEASE button at the bottom of battery pack to uninstall the battery pack from the unit. Using the Rechargeable Battery Pack 1. Connect the AC/DC adapter to the unit and plug the AC adapter into a mains socket. The battery will start charging automatically, at this moment, the charging LED will blink in red. When the charge LED lights in red, charging is completed. NOTES : 1. When playing the unit in conjunction with the battery pack and battery low displays, this indicates that battery power is low and the battery should be recharged. When the battery pack is being charged, the CHARGE LED will blink in red, when charging is completed, the LED will light in red. When the unit is simultaneously connected to the battery pack and AC adapter, the unit will automatically select the AC adapter as its power source. In case the charge LED does not light, please check that the battery connection is correct or not. The battery pack has to be recharged every 3 months when not in use in order to ensure a longer life. In case the charge LED blink quickly, first please check the battery connection correct or not, if the charge LED still blinks quickly, please don't charge, and contact the local dealer for help. GB­12 BASIC SETUP Playback Preparation / Quick Operation Guide 1. Connecting to power ( AC/DC adapter, external DC power source through Cigarette connector cable or with attached battery pack ). Lift the main cover up ( display screen ), and open the disc cover by pressing the OPEN knob. Adjust the volume to your desired level. SYSTEM SETUP General Setup Access the GENERAL SETUP by pressing the " SETUP " button on the unit or remote control. 1. TV Display NORMAL / PS ­ If you want the movie to fill the entire screen of your TV. [. . . ] Take straps and hook up the neck heardrest of the driver's seat as shown. 3. Adjust the straps tightly so that the unit is secured. GB­23 DISC NOTES Disc formats supported by this player · · · · · · DVD-VIDEO, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW COMPACT DISC DIGITAL AUDIO CD - R/RW MP3 / WMA / JPEG VCD 2. 0 / SVCD MPEG 4 / Xvid / DivX ( DivX 3. 0, DivX 4. 0, DivX 5. 0 ) Discs which cannot be played with this player · DVD-ROM · DVD-RAM · CDV Handling and Cleaning · Dirt, dust, scratches and warping disc will cause misoperation. · A disc should always be kept in its case when not in use to prevent from damaging.
