[. . . ] Data Sheet VBC Composite A/V Balun Kit CTX Transmitter, CRX Receiver The VBC Composite Audio-Video Balun Kit provides a pair of active baluns for sending composite video and line-level stereo audio over a single CAT-5 cable. [. . . ] This prevents ground loops, which can cause audio noise and video hum bars. The balanced signals also resist interference, resulting in higher fidelity audio and cleaner video transmission. The kit can be used to connect a remote source to a multiroom audio-video controller or a video display device. It can also be used to send the output of a video distribution device to a distant video display or A/V receiver. An input buffer switch on the CTX transmitter allows a source video signal to be split between the transmitter and a local TV or A/V receiver without affecting picture quality.
