[. . . ] It is important to fit your induction hob on a good level supporting surface. It is absolutely essential that the recess conforms with the dimenions indicated. Make sure there is a minimum gap of 5 cm between the hob and vertical adjacent fittings (wall, fridge, furniture . [. . . ] If the heat is increasing excessively, the probe switches off the hob. Safety "empty pan" : a probe is placed under each heating area. It will immediately detect a wrong temperature for the empty pan, or the ceramic glass. Safety "detection" : The presence detector allows the working and so the heating. A small object (eg a spoon, knife or ring) placed on the heating area will not be considered as a pan and therefore the hob will not come on. Safety "boiling over and splashing" : If any boiling over and splashing occur, the hob will stop. __________________________________________________________________________ THE CHOICE OF PAN _______________________________________________________________________________ A good pan will make the best use of the hob, giving more economic use of energy and faster cooking. If the signal lights stop flashing : your pan is one which can be used. 2) You can also use a magnet : bring it close to your pan ; if it sticks, the pan can be used on your induction hob. You should choose those with a thick bottom to ensure more even heat distribution. The bottom should be enamelled to prevent it from scratching the ceramic glass surface. The pan should be flat-bottomed and have a diameter of at least 12 cm. Ensure that the base of the pan is dry : When filling pans with liquid or using a pan that has been stored in the refrigerator, make sure that the bottom of the pan is completely dry before placing it on the hob. When you use a utensil with a non-stick inside coating (type TEFLON) with no fat, pre-heat on position "8" or "9". If you place an empty pan on a heat zone which is already switched on, the safety device will automatically start, but your pan may still be damaged. When heating baby's bottles or pans, shake or stir the contents well and, above all, check the temperature before use to avoid burning your baby's mouth. As long as, you do not use the maximum power there is no difficulty, as the power is automatically distributed to both zones.
