Keep the knob pressed in to produce the sparks which in turn ignite the burner and to activate the safety device. [. . . ] THE STAINLESS STEEL PARTS To clean the stainless steel parts, use one the special cleaning products that are readily available in the shops. UNPACKING THE HOB : you will find the small bag containing the injectors, the fixing screw, and the clips. Both the unit into which the hob will be fitted and any adjacent kitchen furniture must be made of heat resistant material and fixed with heat resistant adhesive. A panel must be placed at least 1 cm minimum below the hob unit in order to allow the adequate circulation of the air around. Take care to keep a minimum 5 cm space between the appliance and the nearby kitchen units. Stick this seal under the edge of the body as near as possible to the outer edge of the hob. Press round the edges of the hob, so that the seal flattens out and ensures an air tight seal. When placing the hob in the cut-out section, try to push it as far as possible to the edging side. The body of the hob is fitted with 4 location holes to take the fixing bars intended to fix the hob in the unit. Place the 4 fixing bars in such a way that the hob surface is placed perfectly in the support unit. It is recommended that the fixing holes not used are blanked off with the fixing screws. Warning : at the rear of the appliance, take care not to choke the air outlets necessary to the combustion. This is a built-in appliance: the building-in must be made in accordance with standard EN 30. It must be installed in accordance with the regulations in force in the country of use.
