If the remote control does not operate your TV, VCR, or DVD player, follow the steps below. These instructions guide you through setting the remote control to operate your TV. For VCR and DVD player, follow the same steps, but press the VCR or DVD button at step 3. Stand close to your TV (5 to 10 feet) and point your remote control towards the remote sensor on your TV. Press and hold the number 1 and the number 3 buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Note: If the Power button is not pressed within one minute, the remote will return to the previously programmed code. The automatic search will begin after the Power button has been released. If all codes have been tried and the TV has not turned on or off the LED will stay on briefly, then turn off.
