Limescale is not harmful to your health, but it gives a powdery taste to your beverage. The "Filterline" scale filter (F) is designed to prevent scale particles from being poured into your beverage by trapping them within the kettle. Cleaning the scale filter As the scale filter traps the scale particles it needs regular cleaning to maintain easy filling and pouring of the kettle.
