SMS centre The SMS centtre option enables you to define the SMS centre through which you will receive your SMS. If this number has not been saved on the SIM card by your network operator, you can enter the SMS centre number manually. 26 Using the menus Signature The Signature option allows you to send a signature together with your SMS, which consists of a series of characters that correspond to your SMS «address» (phone number). You may edit a particular «signature» that will systematically be added to the end of your messages, enabling you to «sign» all messages you send. Validity period The Validity period option allows you to select the length of time your message is to be stored in your SMS centre, which can be useful when your correspondent is not connected to the network. Reply path You can activate or deactivate the Reply path option, which transmits your SMS message centre number with the message. Your correspondent can then reply in using your SMS centre and not his own, which consequently speeds up the transmission rate. Delivery report If you wish to know if your SMS was received or not, you may activate the which gives you confirmation via a written message. Delivery report option Auto save SMS The Auto save SMS option automatically activates or deactivates the saving of messages sent. Broadcast SMS The Broadcast SMS menu allows you to activate or deactivate the reception of SMS broadcast, which are messages sent from the network operator to all subscribers. Topics Reception To define a new type of broadcast message, select <New>, enter the code and if desired, associate a relative title or name. It is possible to enter up to 15 different types of broadcast messages in the list, and if you select an existing type in the list, you can change or delete it. The District Code menu enables you to select a type from the topics list which you would like to have permanently displayed on the idle screen. In order to accommodate this type of handling of the message, you must enter the type in both the menu and in the District Code Topics menu. The corresponding type will then be recognised in the topics list with a . Voice mail The Mailbox no. If it is not available on your SIM card, you may manually enter your voice mailbox number. Using the menus 27 Call list The Call list menu provides you with the list of calls you have received and made, in addition of the attempts to auto redial as well as the details of voice messages. The calls are displayed in chronological order with the most recent being the first on the list. To access the Call list from the idle screen, either navigate through the carousel until you reach Call list, which is to be selected, or for quick access simply press on the button on the side of your phone. Information about the date, time, number, call status, and whether it was sent or received can be obtained about any selected call in this list. Once you have selected a call from this list, you have the option to send a SMS, delete or store the number directly in the names list, as illustrated in the following carousel. To phone a number from the call list, simply select it and press on the list is empty, list empty is displayed. When the call Organiser The Organiser menu enables you to manage up to 40 events. Events The Events menu is a list in chronological order which you are able to consult, modify, and add to. The most recent events appear on the top of the list, and have the starting times and dates. Add a new event This provides access to four types of events: Meeting, To Do, Quick Settings, Holidays. Meeting The Meeting menu allows you to enter a date, a starting and ending time, the main details concerning the meeting, and activate an alert beep.
