Mains plug This apparatus is fitted with an approved moulded 13 Amp plug. To change a fuse in this type of plug proceed as follows: 1 2 3 Remove fuse cover and fuse. If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlets, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted in its place. If a plug without a fuse is used, the fuse at the distribution board should not be greater than 5 Amp. If STOP 9 was pressed within 3 seconds after RECORD, no recording will take place. After recording, the display shows UPDATE for several seconds. The Total time indications can differ slightly. Finalizing If you want to play the recorded CD(RW) on a normal CD player, you must first finalize the disc. See Finalizing CDR and CDRW discs. When all tracks are recorded you can finalize the CDR(W) disc: 1 Preparing Place an unfinalized CDR(W), absolutely free of scratches and dust particles in the left CDR tray. Place the disc from which you want to record in the right CD tray. 0 2 With the CD recorder stopped, press REC TYPE one time to select RECORD FAST or two times to select RECORD LISTEN. After 3 seconds the display shows the remaining CDR(W) recording time on the left and total time of source on the right. Prerecorded CD's often have different volume levels. When playing back your compilation you could hear these differences in volume between tracks. Amplifying a of digital audio information stream will distort the audio signal. This means that digital signals can only be decreased in volume to obtain equal audio levels for different tracks. In this way it is possible to - increase (0 dB is maximum) the volume level for those tracks with a weaker signal, - decrease (-3 dB or less) the volume level for those tracks with a stronger signal. For pre-listening you need to make a test recording with a CDRW disc in the left disctray: Some external analog sources have such high output levels, that you may need to adjust the recording level to ensure good quality recordings without distortion.
