[. . . ] If the Macroscope is not in use, it is well protected in the ever-ready-case. Dirt and grease will have a noticeable affect on the brightness of the subject seen through the Macroscope. It is therefore recommended to remove any fingerprints, dust and other stains on the lens or the eyepiece with first a soft lens brush or a special optical lens cloth, LensPen cleaner or optical 'wetwipe` cleaners. Liquid cleansers are not recommended as they can damage the rubber armouring of the housing and the lens. When the Macroscope is not in use for a long period of time we suggest it should be stored in a dry and dust free place.
