[. . . ] The period of time you can stay in the sun without getting sunburn therefore varies at different times during the day. The HG 8X33 BR ASPHTM determines a maximum exposure time of 30 minutes, depending on skin type and SPF, at 12:00 noon this time period is clearly shorter and in the afternoon increasingly longer. Use the HG 8X33 BR ASPHTM to monitor the radiation throughout the day and let it calculate the recommended time anew. Your skin may slightly vary from the skin type entered or you were exposed to UV radiation longer than the HG 8X33 BR ASPHTM registered. Please keep an eye on possible skin reddening and your general well-being. When setting up the HG 8X33 BR ASPHTM please enter the SPF of your sunscreen being used between 1 and 50, where 1 indicates the lowest and 50 indicates the highest sun protection. The HG 8X33 BR ASPHTM then uses this value together with the number of your skin type you have also entered and then calculates the estimated maximum exposure time. 9 always change the value of the SPF factor in case you want to use another sunscreen. Instruction for using sunscreens and lip-care products Please refer to the indications for use of the corresponding manufacturer. [. . . ] Independently most of us find it pleasing spending time in the sun and would also find it unrealistic to be asked to avoid it. Therefore it is important for us to be aware that excessive exposure is a risk and that we have to learn how to protect ourselves against overexposure. Factors causing variations in exposure to UV radiation At particular locations, at particular times of the day or seasons, the UV radiation can vary: Time of day 30% of the daily UV radiation reaches us at noon between 11:00 a.
