You can access the PC Serial Presence Detect Specification at: http://www. intel. com/technology/memory/pcsdram/spec/ Desktop boards D915GAV and D915GAG have four 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets arranged as DIMM 0 (blue) and DIMM 1 (black) in both Channel A and Channel B. Desktop boards D915GEV and D915GUX have four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets arranged as DIMM 0 (blue) and DIMM 1 (black) in both Channel A and Channel B. Guidelines for Dual Channel Memory Configuration Before installing DIMMs, read and follow these guidelines for dual channel configuration. Channel A DIMM 0 DIMM 1 Channel B DIMM 0 DIMM 1 OM16895 Figure 18. Remove the PCI Express video card if it interferes with the DIMM retaining clips from being easily opened and closed. Make sure the clips at either end of the DIMM socket(s) are pushed outward to the open position. Holding the DIMM by the edges, remove it from its anti-static package. Align the small notch at the bottom edge of the DIMM with the keys in the socket (see inset in Figure 18). When the DIMM is inserted, push down on the top edge of the DIMM until the retaining clips snap into place.
