Be sure that the cooking plates are properly assembled and locked in place. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. Important: The heat continues to be ON until the appliance is unplugged. Caution: Do not attempt to remove the plates while the appliance is hot. Always allow them to cool to room temperature before removing for cleaning. USING ThE ADJUSTABLE ANGLE Tip: If you are using your appliance as a grill, you can use the adjustable angle feet at the front of the grill to angle the cooking surface. To use the adjustable angle, simply press on the front of the feet on either side under the front of the grill (h). This will flip the feet over so the extended part of each is out and the cooking surface slopes toward the back. Make sure the feet are set firmly in the h sloped position before starting to grill. Important: Always ensure the drip tray is in place to allow grease and other liquids to drain properly when using the slope.
