Searching for Words
Word searches find all the occurrences, or matches, of a word or word phrase in this book. You can type up to 100 characters in a single search, but you cannot search for short, common words such as the and is.
1. To see the Outline location of the next or previous matches, if any, hold 6 and press DN or UP . Press MENU to see the matches listed on the menus.
To delete a letter, use BACK . Press

to search.
After a word search, only matching entries are listed on the menus.
7. Press SEARCH (yellow) or CLEAR to clear your search.
This is the Outline location of the first match of your search words.

Expanding Your Searches
You can double your word search by finding terms in which the word you looked up is used, not as the main word, but as an ancillary word.

® Understanding Word Searches and Expansions When you search for a word, either by entering it at the word search screen or by highlighting it in text, entries and subentries (in bold type) are searched for exact matches. If no exact matches are found, then the entries and subentries are searched once again for any occurrences of the selected word.
