Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] WHAT THE FX91 DOES CONTROLS LEVEL: Controls the volume of the pedal output. Turn it up for loud, obnoxious in-your-gut bass or turn it down for practice. BLEND: Mixes the original sound with the distortion's postEQ sound. [. . . ] When you set up the effect, use the LEVEL control to match the distortion effect level with the level of the original input signal. The control should be set so that there is a slight increase in level when the effect is switched into the signal path. Turn the knob clockwise to add more of that nice "scratchy" tone, or just to annoy the ones you love. This adds more "edge" to the sound. The FX91 Bass Overdrive is a distortion box designed for bass guitar that allows you to mix distorted bass with your original sound. It gives you thunderous low-end power while retaining the punch you need to cut through even loudest band. You could use a normal guitar distortion box, but not only do they not have the bottomend punch you need, but they'll even roll off the low end, giving it a whimpy "squished" sound. On the following pages, some examples of different types of sounds are shown, along with graphics representations of how to set the knobs. Since good (or bad) bass guitar sounds are subjective matter, use these examples as starting points to create sounds that meet your specific tastes (or lack thereof). The FX91 however, is sure to fulfill almost any need. You can make it sound flubby and big, make it sneer like death metal, or add just a touch of distortion for extra bite. BIT O' GRIT Use this sound for either picked tones or fingerstyle. great for riffing or funky lines. CONNECTING THE FX91 Connect your guitar to the input of the FX91. Connect the OUTPUT of the FX91 to your amp (or to the input of another effects device you may running). To eliminate the need for a 9-volt battery, attach the DOD PS200R power supply to the AC adapter jack. FEATURES LED indicator shows status of effects and battery condition. Rubber non-skid bottom. FULL ON Use this sound to make your guitarists distortion pale by comparison. Earthquake in a box, just add attitude. MEATY TREAT Aggressive tone that is great for any style that needs just that little extra push. mixes well with distorted guitar tones, and punchy kick drums. · Unauthorized repair of the FX91 will void the warranty. Should your FX91 require service, contact your DOD FX pedal dealer for return / repair information. · Use of any AC adapter other than the DOD PS200R will void the warranty of this product. · If the FX91 fails to switch in or out or the LED indicator stays lit, the battery needs to be replaced. · Remove the battery whenever the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time. This will prevent possible damage due to leaking battery fluids. IMPORTANT NOTES · The FX91 battery is in use whenever the INPUT jack is plugged in.
