Manual abstract: user guide DOD FX69

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] One of the advantages of using a pedal-type distortion like the FX69B is that big, heavy distortion can be produced at any amplifier volume or setting. CONTROLS LOUD: Matches the distortion level with original signal level. [. . . ] Since good (or bad) guitar sounds are a subjective matter, use these examples as starting points to create your own sounds that meet your specific tastes, or lack thereof. This sound is reminiscent of sounds produced by the Melvins and bands influenced by them. This sound has a cut treble (HIGH) response, making the low end (LOW) sound flabby. Tune your guitar down to D to improve flabbiness. GRUNGE: Controls the amount of hair on the distortion. Turning the GRUNGE control clockwise increases the amount of gain (distortion or drive) on your guitar sound, while turning the control counterclockwise only slightly reduces the sonic onslaught of electric death. FOOTSWITCH: Switches the distortion effect in or out of the signal path. LED INDICATOR: Lights when the distortion is enabled, and is not lit when the distortion is bypassed. JACKS: Input, Output, AC Adapter (use either the DOD PS3 or PS50 power supply to eliminate the need for a 9 volt battery). CONNECTING THE FX69B Connect your guitar to the input of the FX69B. Connect the output of the FX69B to your amp (or to the input of another effects device you may be running). To eliminate the need for a 9-volt battery, attach either the DOD PS3 or the DOD PS50 power supply to the AC adapter jack. FEATURES · LED indicator shows status of effect and battery condition. · Rubber non-skid bottom. The GRUNGE control is not remotely clean in its lower range, because it overdrives the guitar sound quite fiercely. [. . . ] The warranty registration card must be mailed within ten days after purchase date to validate this warranty. DOD Warranty Product Options: All (requires a Class II power adapter that conforms to the requirements of EN 60065, EN 60742, or equivalent). The product herewith complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC and the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC as amended by directive 93/68/EEC.
