It is normal for the playfield to sag a little after a while. Stick Hockey Troubleshooting Guide To replace the internal game components 1. Remove the Dome and carefully place it next to the game, being careful not to scratch it. [. . . ] If players do not turn easily and the above remedy does not correct the situation it is possible that there is a burr on one of the two gears inside the gear assembly. Disassemble the game as per the above instructions and inspect each of the small gears in question. In addition a spray lubricant can be used to lubricate the large and small pinion gears, which are within each gear assembly. Use this spray lubricant sparingly, since lubricant can attract dust and dirt if used excessively. Even though a Slip Clutch is employed to prevent gear tooth wear it is possible for the gears to wear, especially during severe play. If that is the case replace the gear assembly as per the above instructions. Should the players not slide easily it is possible that they may be binding on the guide strip inside the game. Remove the game surface and loosen each of the four screws, used to assemble the gear housing, by one turn. The Game Dome or Side Shields are manufactured from a shatterproof material that will scratch easily. The Shields should be cleaned using a soft cloth with household window cleaner. If puck tends to lie in the goal area, add a dry film lubricant (silicone) or WD-40 to PUCK TROUGH surface and both sides of the PUCK. Remove all players from the playing field by firmly and carefully pulling on each player. Remove the White Plastic Game deflector located on each end of the game, by removing the four screws used to assemble them to the game. Assembly is the reverse of the above Air Powered Hockey Troubleshooting Suggestions Puck does not float properly across playing field 1. During the manufacture of the puck itself, it is possible that the puck distorts somewhat during cooling. It is recommended that the puck be sanded on a flat surface (Kitchen countertop) using medium grit sandpaper (150 or 180 grit. Sanding is also necessary after the game has been played and the puck has become nicked. The current method of packaging and shipping does protect the motor adequately. It is possible for the motor to get crushed or distorted during shipping. If this occurs the motor will attempt to turn the fan blade, but will be unable to do so. Remove the (4) #10 x 5/8" screws which are used to assemble the motor to the plenum and manually pull the fan blade up on the motor shaft until it rotates freely. Cleaning the Play Field The controller can leave streaks or marks on the play field. [. . . ] You may need to loosen the hex nuts after the game is re-assembled to allow proper placement of the rails in relation to the Corner Caps and Puck Catchers. When the repair is successfully completed, please apply at The Carrom Company for employment. (Just kidding) Duel Free Throw Basketball Game Suggestions Player's Basket not being scored consistently If the player is not getting a credit every time a basket is made, the ball probably is not inflated properly. The easiest way to assure that the ball is inflated to the proper diameter is to use the white ring on the Basketball Hoop to measure the inflated ball's diameter. [. . . ]
