Foam rubber materials can, under certain circumstances, when heated become ignited by spontaneous combustion. Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubber backed articles and clothes or pillows fitted with foam rubber pads MUST NOT be dried in the tumble dryer. Ensure that the openings on the appliance and the openings of the compartment the appliance is fitted in (for built-in models) are clear of obstructions. The condensation water MUST be discharged directly to a water drain system, through the supplied drain hose. wARNING Switch off and remove the tumble dryer plug from the electricity supply before carrying out any work. The hose must be connected to a drain system with a maximum height of 85 cm compared to the base of the dryer (figure 1). The water drainage system is located at the back of the machine on the lower right side (figure 2). Connect the hose provided inside the drum to the fitting (A) making sure it is inserted securely (figures 3-4). Once the machine is in place, check to ensure that the hose does not kink when pushing the tumble dryer into position. To restart the appliance, close the door and press the programme start button. Please use extreme caution when attempting to empty the water reservoir during the cycle. Clogged filters and heat exchanger could increase the drying time and cause damages and expensive cleaning operation. In order to have the maximum effectiveness of the machine, checking the cleanliness of all filters before each drying cycle is essential.
