Low batteries will effect transmission distance and the screen contrast. Do not mix old and new batteries. · · Every minute while in "AUTO" mode, the remote control communicates with the heater. If the remote control goes out of range and/or has low batteries, the communication will stop, and after 8 minutes of noncommunication, the heater will shut off.
