Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] v WARNING
It is important to completely understand the operation of your bicycle's brake system. Improper use of your bicycle's brake system may result in a loss of control or an accident, which could lead to severe injury. [. . . ] New cables and new housing are always recommended when installing new brakes.
IMPORTANT
These brake calipers are equipped with a quick release lever (H) to facilitate wheel removal and installation. It is critical for proper brake operation that this lever be fully CLOSED (down) during use. Before each ride, and especially after installing the front or rear wheel, check to make sure the quick release lever is in the fully CLOSED position (see figure 2).
Caliper Installation
Remove existing brakes. Slide washer (O) onto mounting stud before inserting into frame or fork. Install mounting stud on back of caliper into hole in frame (for rear caliper) or fork (for front caliper), then thread mounting nut onto mounting stud. Hold caliper so that pads are equidistant from rim, then secure mounting nut to torque of 70-85 in-lbs. 4.
