Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Carefully read the following pages for specific operating instructions. Remote Controls Included with your system are two AviGloTM3-button/6-channel remote controls. Once exposed to light, the AviGlo remote control buttons will glow, making the buttons visible in the dark. The remote control (remote) is a miniature transmitter powered by a small +12 volt battery. [. . . ] This will give you a total of 35 seconds to deavtivate the anti-carjacking feature with your remote control. 3 Bandido Owner's Manual 2 Engine Shut Down Mode: After the parking lights have flashed for 10 seconds, the siren will sound and the parking lights will continue to flash. When the carjacker stops or slows for a turn, the engine will automatically shut off and not allow the vehicle to be restarted. This process will allow the carjacker to drive a safe distance from you before shutting down the engine, but typically close enough to make recovery easier. When the system enters the Engine Shut Down Mode, the remote control WILL NOT deactivate the Anti-Carjacking feature. The valet switch must be used to deactivate the feature and start the engine. To Activate the Anti-Carjacking Feature The Anti-Carjacking feature can be programmed active or passive. Active means the Anti-Carjacking feature can only be activated with the remote control. Passive means the Anti-Carjacking feature will automatically activate itself. (See the "Programming Table for System Features" on page 10. ) Active: In a carjacking situation, while the engine is running, press the remote control buttons #2 and #3 for 1-2 seconds. The system will automatically begin the Alert and Engine Shut Down modes. The system does not provide any audible or visual arming confirmation that would alert the carjacker. Passive: Every time the doors are opened and the engine is started or already running, the Anti-Carjacking feature will automatically activate. To Deactivate the Anti-Carjacking Feature 1. Within 10 seconds, press the remote buttons #2 and #3 simultaneously for 1-2 seconds. While the engine is running, if a door is opened or the interior lights are turned "ON, " you must press the remote buttons #2 and #3 simultaneously for 1-2 seconds to deactivate the Anti-Carjacking feature. 4 Bandido Owner's Manual 2 Remote-Controlled Silent Arm/Disarm Press the remote button #3 for 1-2 seconds to arm or disarm your system without the usual siren chirps. Silent Arm Indications: The parking lights will flash twice, the doors will lock, the starter will be disabled and the LED will flash slowly. Silent Disarm Indications: The parking lights will flash once, the doors will unlock, the starter will be enabled and the LED will turn off. User-Programmable Long-Term Silent Arm/Disarm This feature allows you to completely disable the arm/disarm siren chirps until you decide to restore them. (See the "Programming Table for System Features" on page 10. ) Interior Light Illumination When the alarm system is remotely disarmed, the vehicle's interior light(s) will turn on for 30 seconds or until the ignition key is turned on. To Activate Optional Accessories Press remote button #2 for 1-2 seconds to activate an optional accessory. To activate an additional optional accessory, press remote buttons #1 & #2 simultaneously for 1-2 seconds. Zone2 TM Impact Sensor The Zone2 Impact Sensor has two individual vibration/impact sensing zones. Zone #1: If a less threatening vibration or impact is detected, the siren will issue 2 warn-away chirps. If within 45 seconds a third violation is detected, the sensor will automatically trigger the alarm. Zone #2: If a more threatening vibration or impact is detected at any time, the siren and lights will activate instantly. 5 Bandido Owner's Manual 2 Protected Valet Mode You can place your system in Protected Valet Mode when your car is being serviced by mechanics, car wash personnel or driven by valet attendants, and still maintain possession of your remote control(s). While in Protected Valet Mode, all alarm functions are bypassed to prevent undesired or accidental arming. Remote-controlled lock/unlock and all optional accessories will still operate. To Turn on Protected Valet Mode: 1. [. . . ] Select the feature you wish to program from the "Programming Table for System Features" or the "Programming Table for Remote Controls" on page 10. Continue flicking the switch on and off, counting the number of chirps. NOTE: Stop when you reach the number of chirps associated with your chosen feature. Follow the "Secondary Action. " You will hear a number of chirps to confirm that you have changed the setting of that feature. [. . . ]
