Cordless ISDN telephone DECT Dear customer Thank you for purchasing the Ascom Eurit 133. About the set In choosing the Ascom Eurit 133 you have acquired a cordless telephone that combines the advantages of "untied telephoning" with the user comfort of the ISDN network. The set itself is designed using modern digital technology to the standard for cordless telephones (DECT) for connection to the public Euro ISDN network. Besides the usual telephone features it also offers: The possibility of storing up to 150 names and numbers Last number redial for the last 15 call numbers Call register of 30 answered/unanswered call numbers 5 multiple subscriber numbers (MSN) Support for the following supplementary services: ­ Hold/brokering ­ Conference with three subscribers ­ Call diversion ­ Callback to busy subscriber · Programming of 5 providers · · · · · Safety notes Please read all the safety notes before putting the set into operation: · Safety notes page 5 Operating the set To make good use of all the features of your new Ascom Eurit 133 we recommend that you read the following sections: · Basic settings · Setting up users (programming multiple numbers) page 10 page 13 The most important notes on operating the set are provided in the following sections: · Installation and operation page 6 Note: · ISDN functions are network-related services which, depending on the network operator, may at present only be available in part or not at all (refer to the menu structure in the Appendix) · Sometimes texts appearing on the display differ from those in the user guide (example: "Base stat. Select the list with the answered or the unanswered calls and clear the entire entries. 3. 20313553en_ba_a0 20 Provider dialling Your Ascom Eurit 133 supports you with several options when selecting the most economical connection. Note: If several functions are active, the provider is selected/dialled as follows: 1. * "Always" can only be activated for one provider. Service functions Provider Provider 1 . . . In the menu "Provider" you can store up to 5 service providers with names and Network prefix (provider number). Select the option: Nothing The provider is only acquired, no function. Unless other provider functions are defined, all call numbers will be selected via this provider. Call by Call Through the option of joining call numbers in off-line call preparation you can determine for each individual call which provider is to be dialled. All call numbers starting with these numbers will be directed via this provider. 21 Shortcuts Shortcuts to functions You can program up to 9 shortcuts. with the numeric keys 1­ 9, a shortcut is possible for a function selected by you which does not require any editing (entry of numbers or letters) or value settings, e. g. In this way there is no need to find the function via the menu structure (scrolling). The application is primarily intended for frequently-used functions located in the lower menu levels. In the default setting, five shortcuts are preprogrammed: ­ ­ ­ ­ ­ on number 1: on number 2: on number 3: on number 4: Unpark Keypad lock Handset off Change handset volume on number 5: Direct call on Taking a shortcut The handset is in the On state. You are now in the programmed menu item. You should write the shortcuts (functions) with the numbers (1­9) assigned to them on the labels in the appendix. You can program your own shortcuts on numeric keys 6 to 9 or you can overwrite the already programmed numbers (1­5). Programming shortcuts 1. Scroll to the desired function by pressing "V" or "v" or "<" or ">" Keep the desired numeric key (1­9) which you wish to program pressed for approx. The shortcut is now programmed to this number or the old value is overwritten. 3. 20313553en_ba_a0 22 During the call, 1 connection Internal inquiry With the internal key i you can confer with other internal subscribers or transfer a call (see "Internal calls"). Open listening at the base station During an outside call you can switch on the loudspeaker on the base station. This function can only be activated from the handset, to prevent any uncontrolled open listening at the base station. Mute switch M If you do not want your call partner to hear you (for instance when you confer with someone in the room), you can switch the handset microphone to mute. CE labelling The product complies with the requirements of EU guidelines: 89/336/EWG "Electromagnetic compatibility" 73/23/EWG "Electrical equipment for use within specific voltage limits" Compliance of the telephone with the aforementioned guidelines is confirmed by the CE label. Cleaning ­ when necessary Simply wipe the telephone with a slightly damp cloth or with an anti-static pad. Avoid the use of any cleaning agents or abrasives.
