To use iPod, you put music, videos, photos, and other files on your computer and then load them onto iPod. iPod is a music player and much more. Use iPod to:  Sync songs, videos, and digital photos for listening and viewing on the go  Listen to podcasts, downloadable radio-style shows delivered over the Internet  View video on iPod or a TV, using the optional iPod AV Cable  View photos as a slideshow with music on iPod, or a TV using the optional iPod AV Cable  Listen to audiobooks purchased from the iTunes Store or audible. com  Store or back up files and other data, using iPod as an external disk  Sync contact, calendar, and to-do list information from your computer  Play games, store text notes, set an alarm, and more 4 iPod at a Glance Get to know the controls on iPod: Hold switch Headphones port Menu button Center button Previous/Rewind button Next/Fast-forward button Play/Pause button Click Wheel Dock connector port Using iPod Controls The controls on iPod are easy to find and use. Importing Photos from a Camera to Your Computer You can import photos from a digital camera or a photo card reader. To import photos to a Mac using iPhoto: 1 Connect the camera or photo card reader to your computer. Open iPhoto (located in the Applications folder) if it doesn't open automatically. Images from the camera are imported into iPhoto. 38 You can import other digital images into iPhoto, such as images you download from the web. The first time you load photos onto iPod might take some time, depending upon how many photos are in your photo library. To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC onto iPod using a photo application: 1 In iTunes, select iPod in the Source pane and click the Photos tab.  On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
