[. . . ] The antenna should then be extended to its full length for optimum transmission performance. 3. 2 AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION The beacon can be set to activate when in contact with water. To ready the beacon for this type of operation several steps need to be taken. Second, fold the antenna to the stowed position and manually recapture with the release trigger.
